Can Mr A take two GST number having same name of business while nature of both business is different?
Yes, one can take 2 different GST registrations if nature of business is different.
Section 25(2) of CGST act says:
(2) A person seeking registration under this Act shall be granted a single registration
in a State or Union territory:
Provided that a person having multiple business verticals in a State or Union territory
may be granted a separate registration for each business vertical, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed.
So yes if a person is having different vertical, he can opt for multiple registration with same business name.
