Income tax query in f.y.19-20

Sir,

One of person has taxable income in f.y.19-20.he has failed to file the  it return in f.y.19-20.

Question:

What is the suggestion in case.

Basic Provision: As per Section 139(1) of the Income tax Act 1961, Every person who has taxable income exceeding basic exemption limit has to file the income tax return. Basic Exemption limit is Rs 250000/-.

So, in your case if taxable income is more than Rs 250,000/- the he/she has to file the return of income.

Now due date for filing income tax return for FY 2019-20 has extended. So if above condition has satisfied you have chance to file your return.
